I was so caught by your humor I failed to commend you on your insightful comment  as well.  

They own a lot of real estate here "I've heard" but not Googled as yet... AND "they say"  (not Googled  this either) we have borrowed enough money from them that if they called in the loan effective today we would be absolutely broke.

I beg to differ with that because personally I believe our Government is already insolvent. How can we have such an unbelievably HUGE deficit numbered in Trillions while still spending money in unbelievably Huge amounts numbered in BILLIONS every day on the war in Iraq? The "how to" on that is monumentally vague in my mind.

And why aren't we spending some of the huge quantities of accessible intangible invisible money on the American People that have been struck by one natural disaster after another? Where has good common sense gone in our Government? We are Falling apart at the seams. I don't think George Bush loses any sleep over it either.

I could continue but I'd better stop now.

I injured my back again and have been in bed for two days. Not sure how I did it. I can't sit very long and this is the best I've felt in two days and don't want to over do it.

Holy Ship, that's big!! China surely gives us a lot of SHIP! It's just not fair, is it? We don't give them any ship and they just load us up, full of ship!

Thank you for the enlightening story with the pictures. With all the stuff they're bringing over here and all the hazardous materials they're using in manufacturing then it's no mystery on how their going to take over the United States, one ship load at a time.

What a ship....no wonder 'Made in China' is displacing North American goods big time with this floating continent transporting goods across the Pacific in 4 days no less!!!

This is how Wal-Mart gets all it's stuff from China . Get a load of this ship!
15,000 containers and a 207' beam! And look at the crew-size: 13 people for a ship longer than a US aircraft carrier which has a crew of 5,000 men and officers.
Think it's big enough? Notice that 207' beam means it cannot fit through the Panama or Suez Canals . It is strictly transpacific. Check out the cruise speed: 31 knots means the goods arrive 4 days before the typical container ship (18-20 knots) on a China-to-California run. So this behemoth is hugely competitive when carrying perishable goods.
This ship was built in five sections. The sections floated together and then welded. The command bridge is higher than a 10-story building and has 11 cargo crane rigs that can operate simultaneously.
